About the Abilita Program
Abilita is a program purpose-built to address the special needs of injured workers whose claims and injury impact have, or have the potential to, become complex and resistant to the benefits of usual return to work rehabilitation.
Abilita represents a paradigm shift in the management of musculoskeletal disorders by integrating pain management intervention into the functional context of work rehabilitation. Rehabilitation costs are then more predictable, enabling efficient resource management, resulting in improved cost efficiencies in service delivery.
The Abilita program includes a critical factor assessment, therapist training and manual and resources for the 30-hour self-management skills development course.
The dynamic sessions, activities and resources used in the Abilita course have been developed from research evidence and from the 'RESTORE' Pain Management Program, which has been developed and delivered for over 3 years by IM Concepts.
