01 Building Resiliency - Life Skills - Commencing Friday 8th January 9.00am – 11.am and will run for 8 weeks
 

In response to requests from participants of our Building Resiliency and Managing Challenges - Stage 1 groups, we are pleased to offer a new program to those who have completed this course. The new Life Skills course builds on and extends what was offered in the previous group and will provide a forum for ongoing learning and skill enhancement around the management of your mood and dealing with life's challenges.


Meeting Life Challenges in Practice will help you:
* Manage stress and negative emotions to increase well-being
* Become less reactive and more proactive
* Increase flexibility and choice
* Move in valued directions in life
* Experience greater levels of happiness


As with all courses offered by IMconcepts the focus will be on giving you the skills and techniques to manage your experiences so that you can feel more in control and empowered. This course will provide you with techniques that are innovative and at the cutting edge of research in relation to mood management and performance enhancement, meaning that you will be able to more effectively move in valued directions and ultimately improve your quality of life.

02 Building Resiliency & Managing Challenges - Commencing 11th January 2010 2.30pm – 4.30pm
 

This cognitive therapy based small group program is designed to facilitate the development of skills to understand the underlying factors contributing to mental health problems including the thinking patterns associated with depressed mood. Evidence-based coaching techniques assist participants to develop strategies to make essential changes, adopt more helpful ways of thinking and regain a sense of control that can help in all aspects of their lives. The program is most effective when undertaken in close collaboration with Treating Practitioners.


Small groups are facilitated by appropriately qualified professionals and comprise 6-8 participants. Each program consists of 8 weekly sessions of 2 hours each.

Costs: A mental health care plan completed by a GP enables eligible participants to access a Medicare rebate. Participants with private health insurance may be eligible for a rebate from their private health insurance scheme.
Group sessions @ $60 x 8 weeks = $480.00 less rebates.
